August 17 Day 47 Imlay MI to Port Huron MI 69 miles 471 climbing

We are all excited this morning. We are riding into Canada. It's chilly every morning, but warms up quickly.
This Winn guy has barns all along this road, about 6 that I saw along with lots of corn and soy bean.
Tessa and Sondra found this park along the lake St. Clair for our lunch stop.
Diggity really enjoyed the shade and cool breeze in the park. He's been a great traveling dog along with Doogie. They get mixed up trying to figure out where the hotel room is each day.
The sculpture of bike riders we thought would be a great place to get a group photo. You can't even see the sculpture, but it is there.
Riding down to the ferry we passed many lovely old homes.
Got a quick shot of this lighthouse on the way to the ferry
Getting on the ferry on the American side was interesting. When we got to the entrance  several of us started to take pictures. The U.S. border patrol told them not to take pictures. They did not want them to take pictures of them specifically. Loading on the ferry Tessa did a marvelous job! We all got on with our bikes and truck, trailer and the van. That was one full ferry.
Sondra, Diggity, Doogie and Tessa all loaded on the ferry.
The water was this incredible tourqois color.l
Hi Canada!
Having grown up in Texas I always thought Willow Trees were only in the south. We have seen them for several days now in Wisonsin, Michican and now Canada.
These were long rows of the hot houses. I'm not sure what they were growing in them.
From the Canadian side we could see these rows of what I believe are condos. They all look alike.
Today is Nancy's birthday!  She is in the bright yellow tee shirt. She turned 60 today. Hmmm, I remember 60.
We sat out on the patio of this Irish pub for dinner. Jim captured this great sunset. What a beautiful evening. A great way to end a day of cycling
