2015 BikeMS-TeamBikeMart Sunday May 3rd

It's 6:00 in the morning. The moon is still out.
Morning line up ready to ride to Sundance Square in Ft.Worh. Today will be 73.4 miles. Oh all right let's call it 74 miles
Greg Russell riding by.
It's nice to know there are country roads close to the metroplex.
And big fields.

More donkeys.  I'm sure most of you know this. You'll find them with cattle, horses, sheep and goats.
They will fight off coyotes.

Sam doing Sam work.
This was the first rest stop with bike holders. They cheered pretty good as riders rode in.
So leaving the last rest stop with 13 miles to go. We all heard the worst noise. Better yet I felt it.
Fortunately I was able to stop without falling. Off the bike and looking back my dérailleur
Was wrapped up in my wheel. The hanger had snapped off. We could not figure out what went wrong
Sam had the dérailleur in his hand,I asked him what the green wire was. Well that was the culprit.
It was wound up in the cassette. Those who know me I hate to give up riding. So we all commiserated
Called for a sag back to the last rest stop. Dana was on his way there. Hopefully he would have a hanger.
This was the amazing sag "flight #11. They called themselves
If you stop real fast you too can have a tire that looks like this.
Sam in thinking mode. This is where he says "Ahhh Geese!"
Dana wasn't able to repair my bike"BB" so I got to ride with him to the finish line at Sundance Square.
Popcicle makes the ride cooler.
This is the first time I've seen Buddy smile. Buddy is always with Dana at any of the events he
Mechanics for.
There are the ride guys for the day. Sean,Jeff and Sam
Teresa crosses the finish line with her sister Elizabeth .
Now she's ready to relax.
Team BikeMart gathering under the shade trees.
The ride is over, the party is winding down. Hopefully there will be a Victory ride one day soon
to celebrate  "Kicking MS's Ass"
Until then join us next year for an awesome feel good ride.

2015 BikeMS- Team BikeMart! Saturday May 2nd.

It's a beautiful morning. There is a comfortable chill in the air and driving into the start of the
BikeMS there is anticipation of riding in the country. Today we will ride to the Texas Motor Speedway.
It will take 86 miles to get there. We all love to ride our bikes. This event lets us do that, only this time it is a ride to help wipe out Multiple Sclerosis. Jim and I have ridden this event for many years. Along the way we will encounter many with MS. It is amazing the strides that have been made to help those with MS and help manage.
The parking lot is filling up.
Down the road people are on their way. Everyone is happy and excited as we head out of town.
Here comes Mr. jimmy!
Getting out of town the the traffic is stopped by the police while the riders come through. It was quite stacked up. Occasionally we would hear horns honk. Chill out everyone we will be gone in a little bit.
At every stop there are different volunteers to help the riders move through the countryside.
Rest stops were about every 10 miles. Plenty of stuff to keep us going. My favorite thing, getting
Ice in my water bottles.
Everyone is getting ready to move on down the road.
Leaving the rest stop we pass a field with donkeys.
Teresa posing for a moment before she cues up for lunch.
These guys are cooking possibly the best hot dogs I have ever tasted. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact about 4 miles out I announced I was really, really hungry.
This is Nancy and Diane,Part of the lunch crew taking a break.
There was a DJ to keep things lively. At any time you would find someone dancing.
Angela with her marvelous smile. Also I might mention an awesome RBM kit.
My tummy's full, my heart is glad, I thank you all for all I had. All right let's roll TMS here we come.
OMG Tim and Jenny Goodwin! Did I mention the awesome RBM Jersey.
I love trains. We saw them all along the way when we traveled from Portland Oregon to Portland Maine in 2013 . I would pull my arm like blowing a train whistle, these trains we encountered while riding the MS.indulged me with a hearty whistle back.

The FritoLay company has been a contributor to the BikeMS ride for many years. They have a great team and a great mascot, Chester!
Jim and I are riding to the Finish Line, lots of people to cheer us in.
At the TeamBikeMart tent everyone is relaxing, getting some great Barbecue and sharing great stories.

Woody,Jim and Sam chilling out.
Here is Dr. George Markus. Standing in the middle of the street eating ice cream.
George be careful out there.

Dinner at Uno's in Roanoke. Good night for some pasta.
