July 8 Day 8 Walla Walla to Dayton WA. 31 miles 1,431 climbing

We didn't have to get out early today. Only 31 Miles. For Jim and I that is a ride down to White Rock and back from the house. The only difference. We're not in Texas anymore.the terrain is changing once again. This is Jim and Chris reaching the top of a climb into to far out of Walla Walla.

These rolling hills of wheat went for miles. Off in the distance though you could se the start of the mountains we would soon be climbing into.

Waitsburg is where the rest stop was in a beautiful park on the next block.
This is the first time I've seen the American Flag painted in black and white. It was the whole side of this building.
We're poising for a picture and Doogie is smoozing Chris for some snacks.
This the the county court house in Dayton Washington. Itis on the route that Louis and Clark traveled r Right in the spot where we stood to take this picture.
In all these small towns it's great to see their theater's are still operating.
Tomorrow we are getting into some climbing. It will be a 70 mile day.  A nice dinner then off to sleep.
Because it is in the 90's we will get on the road early.
