July 12 Day 12 Lowell ID. to Lolo ID.72 miles 2,500 Climbing

We are heading into Monatna. The trees are so thick. Now we are in the national forest. No more logging trucks. Just plenty of trees and river.
Pete was driving today and got this picture of us. It is a lovely day
Our lunch stop. Finds Martha taking safety to new heights. The Human Safety Cone!
Here we are off down the rode.  We look like Hobbits out on a quest.
The climbs are starting to happen. We get to Lochsa Lodge and get settled in. We were going to take the pups down to the river and a quick thunder shower kept up over the mountain. So instead we decided to get showered up and have and early dinner.
Tomorrow we go over Lo Lo Pass and into Missoula Montana. It's also a sad day Keith and Martha are leaving to go home. We will miss them terribly. They did such a great job for us.

  2. Amazing photos and it all looks great! Doogie may be 2 but he still looks like a baby to me. Things are fine here at home. P&M
