July 15 Day 15 Missoula MT. to Lincoln MT. 80 miles 2847 climbing

We started our morning in Missoula going by the Adventure Cycling  Headquarters.
This group is awesome. They have developed a network of bike routes around America.
Jim and I have used their maps on 2 others occasions  when we toured self contained. Many years ago we became life members of Adventure Cycling.
This tandem was the first bike ridden by Jim Richardson and Linda Thorpe in 1974 across the TransAMTrail.
This is what they are all about.
Out on the road now we are on Highway 200 . Following the Blackfoot River. Many fly fishermen out on the river this morning.
These mountains seem to surround us no matter which way we look.
The Black Foot constantly changes from a smooth rolling river to fast rushing rapids. It sounds wonderful.
Those mountains are some that we will soon be climbing. Right now it looks as if we are going to ride off a cliff
It was pretty hot today. This was a break we took before our last descent. After lots of climbing up and down the hills we're ready to be there.
At his big ole Pondarosa  Pine offered just enough shade when we took our break. Chris told me a rule of riding. "Don't waste shade!"
We arrived in Lincoln Montana. Having not seen anything on how this hotel would look I had imagined
It in town, maybe a big brick building old and majestic. When we arrived. I changed my thoughts to Lincoln Logs. It was a really nice place. With lots a green grass and streams running behind it.
This is Jamie and his sister Lori. Lori and her father actually own the hotel. Jamie works there.
Peggy was working in the bar. She was making sure everyone was comfortable.
Doogie and Chris were having a great time enjoying the conversation in the hotel.
This is "prospector Bob" I think he was a local who happened to be there most every night.
He and Jim had some lively conversation. After dinner most everyone headed to their rooms for a good nights sleep. Tomorrow we head to Helena Montana. A good climb and then downhill into town
