Retread/5th wheel adventures Sat.Jaan 10th

OHhhhgggvF
Last night when we got home Judy found this moss on the drive. We decided t would make a great Pom Pom for her hat. Ya know something. It looks really good.
We woke up to better conditions than we thought it would be. It was suppose to be sleeting with possible snow. Fortunately it was only rainy. We were dressed right and ready to watch some awesome racing
Morning group photo finds us increasing in numbers with the addition of Eric and his dog, Max.
Today's events are going to be wet and muddy. Cyclecross at it's best!

Max was getting pretty soggy so Ellie got him a Zip scarf.

Abby warming up in the RBM tent.
This is the start of the girls 12 to 14 category.
The photo above is Abby in the line up waiting for the race to begin.
This part of the course is an awesome part of the race for spectators. For the racers, it's just a
Slipperie slide in the mud.

Abby's race is over and everybody is all smiles,
Ah, this is "Hollywood" climbing the muddy mess. We're proud of him. Not many were able
To actually ride the climb.
Still upright here really riding strong.
Same climb, different perspective. This was like chocolate pudding
It was something to watch all the different ways the racers would get to the top.
Some would often slide back down.

Chris Carlson's Mom (BeBe)and Dad (Jerry) had a gathering at their condo in downtown Austin.
Jim and I along with the Plutos by to say hello and visit for a while
This is Karen and Ian Moore. Karen is the new USA National Cyclocross winner in Women's Masters 49-50 Category.
On Wednesday when we got into town we went to dinner at this Resturant the Licha's.
Mike had been there before. The food is described as Mexico City Street Food-Modernized.
It's really really good.

We got there we saw Del's truck. Inside we found Ellie,Del,Eric, Del's daughter Erin
 and here boyfriend "O".
Great meal, we all tried something we did't have the last time we were there. Sofie, our waitress
Enjoyed a dessert shot of tequila with us. Daniel who owns the Reaturant came by several times and talked with us. Back at the Trailer we settled in and it rained again. Going to. It's hard to imagine the
Cyclecross race being even muddier. We'll find out tomorrow. Goodnight.
