On the road to Madison Wisconsin for the Saris Gala. This is a fund raiser that Saris puts together for the Bike Fed of Wisconsin. They have been doing this for ten years. Jim and I decided to come up for the festivities. Below is Chris and Sara Fortune who own Saris are ready roll on the pub crawl bus.
We stared the crawl with Old Fashions.
Phil Ligget! Those who know bike racing know it best through the eyes and voice of Phil. He has been the commentator for the Tour de France for 41 tours also 14 Olympics.
He is here for the Gala with a warm up on the pub crawl. Surprisingly he is awake. He just flew in from England.
Our first stop was the bar called the Fresco at the Oveture. It is a multi purpose facility. This view is from the balcony of the Overture... Beautiful evening
Pedaling hard to move on to the Tipsy Cow Pub! By the way this is a whole lotta work.
Inside we had an interesting Drink called the Moscow Mule, made with Ginger Beer & Vodka.
We made it back to the hotel dropped everyone off and made our way to Chris and Sara's home.
Their home is across from downtown Madison on lake Monona. An incredible view and a lovely end to a fun evening
